Rakvere Castle Is Changing

There are procurements going on which will result in a revived castle. First, the rooms will get a better look and heating which will allow us to work all the year round in better conditions.
Secondly, all the furniture will be changed and made more period authentic. Thirdly, our employees and visitors will get new garments. More arms, wagons and other necessary supplies will also be procured. All our employees will undergo training to acquire various skills from horseback riding to graceful dancing. According to plans, the revived castle will open on the 15th of June, 2012.

Marketing Project with EU Funding

Both the Museums of Virumaa and Rakvere Castle will get new websites as a result of the EU-funded marketing project. A photo bank, virtual tours and video clips will also be created. According to plans, the project will be completed by autumn 2012.
