Museum collection

The basis of the museum collection was formed in 1927 when the Rakvere Museum Society was founded. Unfortunately the major part of the collection was destroyed during World War II. The activity of the museum continued after the war and goes on at present.
As at the 31st of December 2010 the collection contained 120 487 museum pieces.
