Collections

The collection includes 120 487 museum pieces (as at 31 December 2010).
The collection is divided into several sub-collections: history collection, archive collection, ethnography, archaeology, collection of photos and negatives, art collection, numismatic collection, and nature collection.

History collection

The collection of historical items contains objects related to daily life, mostly from the 19th and 20th century. There are pieces of furniture, commodities, clothes, toys, school supplies, etc.

Ethnographic collection

The collection of ethnographic items contains older agricultural tools and household appliances. Traditional handicraft characteristic of Virumaa is also represented.
